Elliott’s Coolers & Freezers started out the back of a pick-up truck in 1977. My mom and dad had been in the restaurant business for many years and my dad became intrigued by cold storage. Their restaurants had walk-in coolers and freezers and, during that time, he learned how they worked, how they were assembled, and how to repair them. Eventually, his intrigue turned into a desire to be in the cold storage business. He knew that cold storage was critical, not only to the restaurant business, but also to many other businesses and industries that require temperature-controlled capabilities for their products and services. The success of our business today was born from what started as my dad’s after-hours, weekend interest in walk-in coolers.The man, my dad, was Charles E. Boldt, Sr. So, you might be asking yourself how did the business come to be named Elliott’s Coolers & Freezers? It’s all in the name and his middle name was Elliott. He used his middle name as the moniker for the business and, more than 30 years later, the name is the same. I am Charles E. Boldt, Jr. and my son is Chase E. Boldt. You get the picture – we’re all Elliotts! – and we’re proud to carry on this business in my dad’s honor.
